One of the best things about buying a condo is that there are many people living in units similar to yours who might be able to help you decide which building is right for you. Condos are big business and there are magazines and websites out there that review everything from the unit layouts to the type of central heating boiler they use in all of the newest buildings. If you're interested in buying a condo in Toronto you should take the time to see if there are any written opinions on the complexes that you are considering. You might be able to find out some things that your real estate agent can't tell you.

If you're thinking of moving into a condo that has an innovative design in any way than it shouldn't be too difficult to find information about it. There are several magazines in Toronto that have a real estate section and might have reported on the construction of that complex. You don't need to buy Toronto or Mississauga condos that are brand new right now to get a hold of this information. If that building was created five years ago than all you need to do is visit the local library and look at back issues to find the information you are looking for.

While it's great to read a story about the complex that you are thinking of living in it's even better to hear a review from someone who already lives in the building. There are many websites that specialize in selling condos in the Toronto area and some of them include a section where people can comment on their current or former building. Some have a scale that allows people to rate things like the location, amenities and security level while others simply allow people who buy Toronto condos to write what they choose about their unit and building.

When you're looking at these sorts of reviews you should try to get a feel for the type of person that's writing them. If you read that one building is noisy or not in the ideal location that might just be because that person has a different lifestyle than others living in that condo neighborhood. You could love the fact that it's within walking distance of the graphic design firm Toronto based that you work at or that no one seems to mind when you entertain groups of friends on the weekend.

Looking at reviews is usually about finding out the inner workings of the building. You want to make sure that there are no reports of a maintenance person who doesn't do their job or condo fees that are being misspent. When you are looking at Toronto waterfront condominiums you want a clean and comfortable building without any internal problems.
